Contract has been ACCEPTED
by a 10 to 1 ratio
Thanks for all your support, we couldn't have done it without you all!
07-22-05
The Union and the Company have reached a tentative agreement. The memorandum
of agreement will be available at the Union Hall during voting hours. We will be voting Monday, July 25th from 6am to
6pm. The Committee will be available all day for any questions or discussion before you vote.
It has been a tough negotiation and we couldn't have done it without your support.

We have been working Monday and Tuesday to get prepared for our meeting on Wednesday. We feel like we are very close to an
agreement and are going to do everything possible to make that happen. Your support is our strength.

Since the Company suspended negotiations, we've spent some time reading, and in our Company's Annual
Report for 2004, on pages 8-10 we found the following facts. Now, it's worded in a lot of accounting mumbo-jumbo, but it looks
like the Company paid out 23 million in 2004 to eliminate 400 administrative positions, but partially offset that cost by
"increasing productivity"; i.e., making us work harder. Guess we have 2 questions for them, then: Why did they even have 400
extra administrative people in the first place if they didn't need them? And second, why can't part of that 23 million we're
helping them earn be used to phase in employee insurance premium increases over the life of the Contract, rather than all
at once? Now, in fairness, we'd like to point out that the Company TALKED real nice about us on page 13 but the fact
is, while we appreciate appreciation as much as the next person, it won't help pay our kid's doctor bills.
07-15-2005:
There were very good discussions this week and there was positive movement
in certain areas and we felt like we were getting close to an agreement in those areas.
Unfortunately, the discussions were suspended by the Company until next Wednesday, July 20th.
You committee is working hard to get the membership the best Contract that we can get. We appreciate
your continued support and will continue to keep you updated.
7-14-2005:
Negotiations are moving forward at a good pace. We continue to seek
the best deal on Medical and Insurance and are examining the various options and moving in this area also. Meanwhile
we are pleased to report that there is positive movement in all other areas. We appreciate your continued support
as we strive to achieve the best possible Contract for you, your familes and your future.
Fraternally and in Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee
